Director of Christian Education ( DCE )

Our mission is to direct in developing and implementing educational policies for the Christian education programs in the church. To encourage loyalty and support of the educational programs and services of the AME church. To evaluate and plan long range programs to support the total range of educational programs of the church. Encourage loyalty and support.

Our purpose is to strive a more excellent way in a commitment to serve. Demonstrate leadership skills. To develop a program of public relations to sensitize the church and community about the needs, services, programs, and future involvement of the church in action, service and liberation.

Stewardess Board

The main functions of the Stewardesses are to assist the Stewards in the discharge of their duties relative to the ritual of baptism and the Lords supper. The Stewardess Board provides the implements and elements of the Holy Communion and Holy Baptism. The Stewardess Board also dresses the pulpit and alter rail for the communion rituals.

Wesley AME Church Clara C. Cooper Scholarship Fund

Our purpose is to help the youth of Wesley AME Church and the surrounding communities further their education.

The Clara Cooper scholarship fund was created to honor wonderful women who devoted many years to Wesley. Mrs. Cooper took pride in the work that she did in her church and in her community. We honor her legacy. The scholarship committee’s goals are to recognize, encourage, and reward our youth for their dedication to Wesley and their community.
